Hi friends, I have new work up this Friday, August 14th, 5-7pm at the Gail Keenan Art Center in Pass Christian, 5065 Espy Avenue.
As some of you know, I've spent alot of time in Bay St. Louis this past year, so I'm trying to make some community connections. I've indulged myself, being off the computer for a while and messing with the cyanotype process, and a few are getting a test run in this show. One piece I made with Lee Dieggard on a trip to a big ditch! I'll post pictures after the opening.
Also in the show:
Jennifer Shaw @jenshaw_nola
Church Going Mule @churchgoinmule
Michelle Allee @michelle.allee
Bunny Lane @bunnylanetaxidermy
Jessie Zenor @theferalsouth
Thanks to the show organizer: @annmaddenphotography
also, Flow Tribe will be at the @bslltheatre at 8pm- you could make a night of it.

Happy to have this video projection, Extinct in the Wild - featuring artist Natori Greene as a model and the Angel’s Trumpet plant - in a show of the same name at the Huntsville Museum of Art, alongside the work of so many great artists and a favorite elder, William Christenberry.
The show is of work in the HMA permanent collection (Extinct in the Wild video is in their collection!) and, in the words of curator Natalie Mault, “traces changing perspectives on the natural world, from historic American art through works by living contemporary artists. We organized it into four sections: Idealized Nature: Humanity’s Vision of Paradise; The Botanist’s Gaze; Consequences: Climate and Catastrophe; and Nature Reclaimed: A New Relationship.”
Only 3 more days to see it- if you are near Huntsville!

The meadow received so much love yesterday thanks to @civicstudio.coop , amazing volunteers from @lmngno who weeded and collected tons of seed, “Wonder Wander” creator @shattucks1 , and a donation of inland sea oats from @laurabgipson . Nick’s expert edging provides a super tidy vibe to counter the cacophony inside the meadow’s borders. And y’all just have to trust me when I say that the breeze was just a bit cool, making it a very pleasant evening - thank you!
And a few questions: What bug made that weird webbing on one of the oaks? And is that a hole for a bee? What kind?
