It’s been for quite a while, that sustaining concentration to read at night without falling asleep almost immediately seemed impossible. Ear/air pods helped me round the corner, listen while exercising, and I feel like I missed so much! Even while I sense that I process the info differently, hearing as opposed to reading. But now - my tinnitus seems worse. Such is life

All of these books seem to be about how we relate to the earth, and seem incredibly important. Add The Overstory in there. Tell me, have you read other books about how old models of mutual existence between humans and all that is more-than-human need to change?

And Dancing in the Streets SO GOOD! the last chapter, dang.

What’s worse than people parking in front of your garage door?
NOT a rhetorical question…
Thankfully we got the car out of the garage.

The best part is that the truck that pulled up to that sinking storm drain area (well documented on 311, fixnola, emails to District B) and made it collapse, was there to deliver equipment they were using to fix potholes the next block down.
EDIT: it was a loaded dump truck, that was also pulling a bobcat.
