Had other plans this am but nope, gotta hustle into the studio. This water hyacinth yanked from St. Bernard waits for no one. It’s been in a pot in our yard for 2? 3? years, I’ve been waiting to catch a bloom (missed many). The plastic pot is falling apart, it’s been out there so long, surviving freeze and drought. It’s a crazily successful plant. Meadow is getting overwhelming now with all the bugs-n-pollinators and the fading of the primrose, bunches of weeds and straggly frogfruit. Take a look at the orange skipper (?) at the end, hopping from frog fruit bloom to frog fruit bloom! Is that why they are called “skippers”?
